In memory of

Heather Ruyl

November 15, 1954 -  September 1, 2017

Heather A. Ruyl, age 62, passed away peacefully on Friday September 1, 2017 surrounded by her family at Bethell Hospice in Inglewood, Ontario. She was born November 15, 1954 to John “JR” and Rosemary “Peggy” (Simpson) Ruyl in Moncton, New Brunswick. She worked as a Lead Officer at the TD Bank since 1992 and worked in the banking world for many years prior to her role at TD. Heather always found the best in people and made it her business to ensure that everyone else was okay, she truly was a mother to us all. She loved having a nice strong cup of tea and a book to read. She inspired so many of us to want to be better to each other and of the importance of family and friends. She came home at the age of 21, after having moved out to start her life, once she learned that she was going to be big sister to three babies and helped raise her sisters alongside Mom and Dad. She is survived by her three sisters, Cathy Ruyl, Shelley Ruyl and Shari Ruyl, her brothers in law Adam Davis and Michael Pierson, her best friend and 1st sister of the heart Marianne McIntosh, Ben Kazimier, Rob and Ashley (Bothe) McIntosh and their son Wyatt, Sarah McIntosh and her son Tristan, many cousins and so many friends she made along the way. She was preceded in death by her loving parents John and Peggy Ruyl and Claire and Al McIntosh and their son Scott, who were also family to Heather. She was a caretaker to all of us and will be dearly missed.

I was so sorry to hear about Heather and my sincerest thoughts and good wishes go out to her family.

Heather was a shining member of the lovely, large family I married into. She made me feel instantly welcome and we shared many happy moments together with her little Yorkie "Arnie" and my Westie "Lizette"! I will always think of Heather with a smile and affection. xxxooo
