May 7, 1934 -  June 1, 2017

Harold Quon, 83, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Markham-Stouffville Hospital. He was born May 7, 1934 in Hoi Ping, China to George and Fay Quon.

Harold was an established and successful Restauranteur in Toronto which included: The Lantern, Mandarin Gardens, Moon Wah, China Hut, China Food Hut; and, Lucky Star. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hockey. Harold was an avid Maple Leaf hockey fan.

Harold was caring, loving, and proud of his family. He was married to his lovely and beautiful wife, Betty (nee Wong) on September 18, 1957 with their upcoming 60th wedding anniversary this September. He is survived by his two sons: J. Harry and his husband, Peter Grubb; and, Jack and his wife, Susan; his brother Allan and his wife Rita; his four grandchildren: Tyler and his wife Xheni Rroku; Teague and his wife Franca Bertoni-Quon; Spencer and Samantha; his four great grandchildren: Mikayla, Adrian, Aryanna and Christian; and, his two nieces Pamela and Alanna.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 4:30 until 7:30 PM. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 with a visitation at 9:30 AM, followed by a service at 10:30 AM. The visitations and Memorial Service will take place at the York Cemetery and Funeral Centre in North York, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, ON M2N 5Z5, and 416-221-3404. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations to the Diabetes Canada, or Markham-Stouffville Hospital.

I am attending a Confirmation on Friday evening so I'm sorry I can't go to the visitation.
My deepest sympathy on the passing of your Father. It was nice to read about his life and I am sure his family was a great joy to him.
