Hardat Singh, 87 years old of Agincourt, Ontario passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Born in La Jelosie, West Coast Demerara, Guyana and later moved to Toronto, Canada in 1972. Hardat was well spoken, dignified and his wit was with him to the end. He was an independent man with high moral standards whose passion was to teach the Hindu scriptures. He was the beloved husband of the late Gaitrie Doreen Singh (2004) and loved father to five children: Buddy, Polly, Nalini, Raj and Prea. He was the father-in-law to Donna Singh, Romeo Moosaie, Clive Ferreira, Jennifer Singh and Kamran Biazar. Hardat was the beloved grandfather to nine grandchildren: Devin, Sasha, Stephanie, Donovan, Bijan, Parisa, Simran, Roya and Sonya. He was the great-grandfather to three children: Aria, Mila and Azai.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Mount Pleasant Crematorium. As we mourn his loss, we are assured that Hardat is at peace because of his trust and faith in Hinduism. The family of Mr. Hardat Singh would appreciate flowers as is customary in the Hindu faith. Thank you for the many teachings and unforgettable memories!
