In memory of

Harald Weber

December 22, 1938 -  September 12, 2017

Harald Rudolph Weber, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Born in Plauen, Germany, Harald immigrated to Canada with his family in 1958 and lived most of his life in picturesque Ashburn, Ontario.

Harald took pride in his family, farm and construction business, and was known for his genuine kindness, humility and work ethic. He loved spending time in the countryside and outdoors – everything from horseback riding, skiing and working on the farm to gardening and hiking. In his late sixties, Harald took up running, racing half marathons and often finishing at the top of his age group.

Harald is survived by his wife, Martha; his daughters, Christina and Monika; sons-in-law, David and Philip; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Dominic; and his sister, Inghild. He will be missed dearly. A private service will be held for family and friends on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Thornton Cemetery (1200 Thornton Road, North Oshawa). Visitation is at 10am and the funeral service will start at 11am. The family asks that no flowers be sent. Instead, donations can be made to Lakeridge Health Port Perry (hospital) or the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.
