Han Too “Winnie” Cho, age 88, affectionately called “Mummie” or our “Monchhichi” by her children, departed her loving family on April 30, 2024. She was born in China and immigrated to Guyana in 1960 before settling in Canada in 1972 with her young family, first in Vancouver then finally calling Toronto home.
Han Too was known for enjoying long walks and keeping an eclectic garden.
She laughed loud, smiled big and toothily, and sang unapologetically. Danced sometimes too!
She was sharp with a pen, an avid knitter, and when it came to fashion, she was a bit of a ‘hipster’ before the term was even coined. Her secret: accessorize -- hats, scarves, belts, sunglasses…and retro sneakers.
Sassy, spunky, smart…and cute too.
She is predeceased by her husband Kim Yen Cho and daughter Marie Yen.
She is survived by her children Michael, Mark Anthony, Michelle (Shaheen) and Jenny.
Our beloved matriarch will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to redirect contributions to be enjoyed by you and your loved ones in making valuable memories.
