CHAPPINS, Kosta (Gus)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kosta (Gus) Chappins - an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. His memory will live on in his wife Soula (Sally), son John (Rosa), daughter Roula (Bill), and grandchildren Sally (Paolo), Costa, Peter (Cassandra), Bessie, and Athanasia. He will also be remembered by his great granddaughters, Sofia and Chiara, as well as all of the nieces, nephews and relatives who loved him.

Kosta was born on May 15, 1935 in Athens, Greece. He passed away peacefully on June 2, 2023 at the age of 88. He was an entrepreneur and butcher by trade who owned the largest fish and meat shop at the St. Lawrence Market for over 30 years. He had a deep love and admiration for his religion and he enjoyed spending time with his family at the cottage and going to Greece on a yearly basis. He was the Patriarch of our family and our rock through all challenges. He left a mark on this world and on all those who had the privilege and blessing of know him. Although he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit of strength and resilience will live on and his memory will remain eternal in our hearts.
