In memory of

Gregory Bruce Swainson

June 23, 1956 -  March 4, 2020

It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to Gregory Bruce Swainson.
Greg passed away on March 4th 2020 at the age of 63.
Loving son to Corneilious and Vera (predeceased). Greg is survived by his beloved sons Robert (Amanda), Jonathon (Lisa), Troy and Kevin (Emilie). Proud Grandfather to Deacon, Jade and Scarlett. Brother to Susan, and Uncle to Brooke. Dear companion to Monica and mentor to Ashley and Amanda.

Greg was born June 23, 1956. He graduated from Burnhamthorpe Collegiate and went on to be a hardworking and dedicated member of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation-CBC since 1975, where he built stage sets and backgrounds. This is where he was able to demonstrate just how creative and resourceful he was. He often told exciting stories of his next interesting projects.

He was a loving and humble person who was not scared to put in a hard days work and still find time to take his sons to hockey practice. He loved the outdoors, going to the cottage, BBQing and taking walks through the park. He enjoyed live music and attending concerts. He had a great sense of humour and loved a good joke. Most of all, he loved watching his boys play hockey and making it out to their baseball games. The time he spent in this world was memorable and he will not be forgotten by the ones he loves.

A Celebration Of Life in honour of Greg will be held. Please join the family at The Simple Alternative, located at 1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga ON, L4W 5J1 on March 15th, 2020 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

To all family and friends, we are very sorry for your loss. I never met him, but reading the kind words in the main message, I can see where Jon gets his character and interests. It's always hard to lose a loved one.

Greg, I met you 40 years ago at the 27 Tavern. You and Marv had been good friends for many years at that time. We attended each others Weddings and we saw our kids be born and grow up. You will always be Uncle Greg to my kids and will always be in our heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to your 4 boys, Robbie, Jonathon, Troy & Kevin, their wives Amanda, Lisa & Emilie & your beautiful Grandchildren, who will be missing you as you were taken far too soon. We will always remember your sense of humour
and your love for your family. R.I.P. my friend and keep looking down and protect your family. Until we meet again. <3

Love Always Wendy
