In memory of

Graham Peter Donahue

December 17, 1973 -  July 10, 2022

Far too soon, at only age 48, Graham died of cancer peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2022.

Beloved husband of Alexis Wise and father of Ethan, Leah and Sam Donahue, Graham was the youngest son of Margaret and the late Steve Donahue, and younger brother to sisters Kerin and Allyson Donahue.

During his illness, as in all things he did in life, Graham remained hopeful and determined. Graham was a deeply loving husband, an adoring and devoted father, a caring son and brother and a loyal friend, always up for a laugh. All who knew him are devastated by the loss of such a good man and will miss his warm smile and the twinkle in his eye.

Graham will be eternally loved. May his memory be a blessing to those lucky enough to have known him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022 at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre (375 Mount Pleasant Rd, Toronto, ON. 416-485-5572) from 12:30 to 1 p.m., with service at 1 p.m., interment to follow at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

The 1 p.m. service will also be live streamed and the link will available on this memorial page at approximately 12:50.

In their home, Graham and Alexis beautifully combined their cultural and religious traditions. In that spirit, the Donahue family will be sitting shiva. Shiva is an important Jewish ritual where all those who knew and loved Graham become a community of love and support for the Donahue family. Shiva will be held at the Donahue home (85 Douglas Drive) following the internment on Wednesday, July 13, on Thursday, July 14 from 10-12 and 6-9 and on Friday, July 15, from 3-6. Join the family in their home to share stories, photos, laughs and tears.

In Graham's memory, please consider a generous donation to Gildas Club at gildasclubtoronto.org, or to HEROS Hockey (Regent Park program) at heroshockey.com. Gilda's Club has been a great source of support for the Donahue family over the last several months and HEROS speaks to Graham's love of hockey and the importance of providing all kids the opportunity to participate in sport, experience what it feels like to be part of a team, and feel proud of their personal growth and development.

I’ve had the pleasure to do business with Graham, he hosted us during our site visit in Brazil and we had many many calls together. He made business fun and friendly. We will miss him.

Ally & Family, words cannot express how sorry I was to hear that Graham has passed away. I know all too well after losing my sister to cancer how difficult grieving can be, especially when they both were such fighters and enjoyed life to the fullest. I pray that the warm memories bring you strength during this difficult time. Remember, he will always continue to be with you in spirit and in your heart. Love, Dana (& Family) ❤️

Alexis and family - my deep and heartfelt condolences to all of you on this loss. While I never had the privilege of meeting Graham, knowing Alexis and the type of person she is - positive, supporting and incredibly committed to her family - I can only imagine the gap that this will leave. With friends and family together, I hope that the stories and memories will keep Graham's strength and hopefulness alive. Thinking of all of you. Scott Nowlan (People for Education Board member with Alexis) and family in Ottawa.
