In memory of

Gordon E. Ryder

May 17, 1937 -  October 29, 2017

It is with a very heavy heart to say that Gordon E Ryder passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday October 29. In his 80th year. Beloved Husband of Lynne Ryder, Douglas, Steven (Teresa), Robert (Peg) and many loving grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lynne ( Luscombe) Ryder of 56 years. Gordon was a loving father, husband, uncle and grandfather to all. He was a Pillar in our family and will be very sadly missed. May he rest in peace and know he is with his siblings and parents. Our Family want to thank those at Scarborough General Hospital and the continuous PSW support for their dedication and effort over the last couple months. In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.

To a wonderful family man who left us much too early and fought a long battle with his health. A loving husband and loving father, very dedicated to his family. Words can not describe how much he will be missed. May you rest in eternal peace.

Dad is some one who I looked up to and learned from. He is my Father who showed me life's lessons. He was there for me and my family. He brought alot of happiness to me. He is the foundation and support in my life. I will miss his smiles and his sadness. Most of all I miss him being here. I love you Dad may you rest in peace and know we will meet again.

I have recently had the pleasure of meeting Masonic Brothers from the Ryder clan and each is an exemplary example of the leadership they have learned from our departed Brother Gordon Ryder...an honor indeed.

On behalf of Janet and myself and all of the Brethren in Scarborough Lodge, please accept our deepest condolences on this tragic loss. Gord was an exemplary Mason and an example to us all. The lodge is very fortunate that his legacy will be carried on by two fine sons who follow in his footsteps. He will always be fondly remembered.
