In memory of

Gordon Douglas Boudreau

August 16, 1956 -  January 28, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Douglas Boudreau. He passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2022. Beloved husband to Anna Rita Boudreau. Caring father to Frances Anne Boudreau, Marisa Christina Boudreau-Schwartz (Jason Schwartz) and Alysha Nicole Boudreau (Luis AbellΓ‘n). Loving grandfather β€œGramps” to Faith Anna Boudreau-Cardy, Benjamin Gordon Schwartz and Nora Bella Schwartz.

Born on August 16th, 1956 to overjoyed parents Gordon & Frances Boudreau, he was one of five children who grew up on Wallace Avenue in the west end of Toronto. Gordon was a Mechanical Machinist who was at the top of his trade working at the University of Toronto for 14 years. Everyone who knew Gord professionally and personally thought highly of his sincere, kind, quiet, yet considerate nature. Gordon had a calm and confident personality. He was able to get along with everyone because of his ability to listen to others and observe situations in order to bring his best self to the service of others. Gordon loved and cared about his family deeply. He spent all of his time and energy with his darling wife Anna and his precious children and grandchildren. Gordon was able to share his many talents with his family. He could fix just about anything and would always be there when you needed him. Gordon loved spending time with his grandchildren, he enjoyed teaching them games and how to do new things like ride a bike and skate. Gord enjoyed music, playing guitar, watching hockey, drinking coffee, being in nature and enjoying the simple things in life.

He will be missed dearly and will be forever in our hearts.

A beautiful poem written by Gordon Boudreau, to honour his legacy. This poem was written in the 1980's, along with many other wonderful poetic pieces.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our brother-in-law Gordon. We have many fond memories of all the good times we shared together. We will remember Gord as a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who was always there willing to lend a helping hand when needed. His legacy will live on in the memories of all the people he touched. May peace be with you and all your loved ones.

I deeply admired Uncle Gord’s kindhearted character, and I’ll always remember him as the perfect life partner for my aunt Anna, as well as the most generous father and gramps to Frances, Marisa, Jason, Alysha, Luis, Faith, Benjamin and Nora.

Brian and I were shocked to learn about the tragic passing of our dear brother-in-law and friend, Gord. He was a reliable, kind, and easy-going uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He was especially attentive to our sons Adam and Zack as they played hockey and soccer. A talented musician, Gord shared his love of electric and acoustic guitar by playing classic blues & rock hits at family functions and Christmas. It is rare to know a man whose goodness will be remembered by all who met him. Gord was a great guy who will be missed as we age without him here on earth. We believe that he will enjoy his heavenly home eternally with family and friends who have predeceased him.
