In memory of

Giuseppe Di Pietro

January 6, 1925 -  July 13, 2022

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppe Di Pietro, who died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Wednesday, July 13th, 2022. He was born in Pachino, Sicily, Italy and later emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1949 to start a new life. After working many different jobs, he settled down as a carpenter with CP Transport for over 27 years. Giuseppe had an entertaining sense of humour and was always ready with a joke or a funny story. His smile and laugh were contagious. He enjoyed spending many weekends and summers relaxing at the family cottage in the Kawartha Lakes. Dearly missed by his wife Maria and children Paul and Dina, relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Harmony Hills Care Community for their kindness and care.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 17th, 2022 at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre, (625 Birchmount Road). Mass will take place at 10:00 am on Monday, July 18th, 2022 at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, (3 Combermere Drive). If desired, in lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Those we love do not go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unheard, Unseen but always near,
Still loved and missed and very dear
