Gil Oliveira

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gil Oliveira on July 5, 2024 at the age of 84 after a long battle with COPD.

He was born in Sao Miguel, Azores to parents Gil Oliveira and Serafina Couto on May 28,1940. Gil will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Maria of 57 years and his children Nelia (Joe) Valter (Lucy) Joanne (Tom). Gil will also be fondly remembered by his grandsons, Joshua, Justin, Jordan, Tyler, Georgios and Lucas. Gil will rejoice in Heaven with his siblings, Manuel, Joana and Jose Luis.Gil always put his family first, he was a devout Catholic and an avid soccer fan.

He will forever live in our hearts.
May he rest peacefully in eternal life.

Friends may call at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) for Visitation on Tuesday July 9, 2024 from 4:00pm -8:00pm, Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday July 10, 2024 at 11:00am with Visitation 1 hour prior. Interment to follow within Pine Hills Cemetery Section L lot 2079.
