In memory of

Gerry Egisto Bertolo

January 6, 1950 -  March 15, 2024

Peacefully at home with family present, Gerry passed away on March 15, 2024 at the age of 74 after a courageous battle with a sarcoma (cancer). Gerry was born in Bannia, Italy. His family came to Canada, initially settling in Timmins and then moving to Toronto and eventually settling in Brampton.

Family was everything to Gerry. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Brenda. To his children: Byron (Marielou), Emilia and Alana, you were his treasures, and to Javier... How proud Gerry was to become your Nonno! Remembered also by his brothers, Frank, Andy and Norman Bertolo and extended family and friends.

In recent years Gerry fell in love with biking and the adventures of travel: Exploring foods, museums and cultures in many corners of the earth excited Gerry. Peru (Machu Piccu), Ecuador (Galapagos), Bolivia (Salt Flats), China (The Great Wall), Thailand, Vietnam (Angar Whatt), Egypt (The Great Pyramids) and finally his bike tour less than two years ago in India to Rajagstan and the Taj Mahal were all treasured journeys.

Thank you to the compassionate palliative team of doctors at Brameast Family Health and to Dr. Gupta and the Sarcoma Unit of Princess Margaret Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to:
