Passed away at his home in Ajax on November 14, 2021. Born the last of 7 children on February 20, 1930 in Willesden, London, England, Gerry lived in Canada for 64 years. An avid sports fan, Gerry played cricket for many years, was a tireless Arsenal supporter and always enjoyed a game of cards. He played the piano and had just completed writing the story of his early days growing up in England. Gerry enjoyed life to the fullest and often remarked at how truly lucky he felt to have had such a wonderful life. Beloved husband to his late wife Anita after 57 years of marriage, he is survived by his daughters Kim (Mark) and Karen (Henry). Loving Grandad of Chelsea and Courtney. He is also survived by nieces Penny, Jacqueline, Anne, Sharon and nephews David, Alan, Roger and Neil. Gerry will be sadly missed by his family and friends and will be remembered as a kind, caring man. As per Gerry’s wishes, in lieu of a service there will be a small gathering in the spring to celebrate his life. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke foundation.
