It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Georgia Vasiliou on Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at the age of 85. Georgia passed peacefully surrounded by her family.

Georgia is now reunited with her late husband, Chrisostomos (d.1987). Georgia will be lovingly missed by her children George (Tessa) and Kathy. Georgia was cherished by her grandchildren David (Tabytha), John (Laura), Louie, Stephanie, Christopher and her great grandchildren Katerina, Victoria and Julian.

Georgia was born in Perasma, Greece to Simeon and Efthimea and immigrated to Toronto in 1965 with her children to reunite with her husband. She was loved by her brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews in Greece, Australia and Canada. Georgia worked hard all her life and loved spending time in the garden. She was a pillar of the family and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will take place at Pine Hills Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough) on Wednesday, February 28th 2024 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (30 Thorncliffe Park Dr, East York) on Thursday, February 29th, 2024 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery.
