Although I never met Mr. Sarantoupolos I felt I knew him through the stories of his devoted and loving wife, children and grandchildren. Like them, I was the daughter and granddaughter of immigrants who came to this country with skills, experience and drive which made him the successful person he became, never forgetting his language or culture, all the while embracing the Canadian spirit. He infused this strong work ethic into his children who carry on his legacy and so much more. Yes, his children have also became successful not just in business but as a family. They married, raised children and continue to live their lives with compassion and empathy for everyone they meet, including myself. This is the inheritance he leaves, immeasurable but so great. So yes, I will never forget a man I never met.
