George Rasteu, born February 20, 1949 passed peacefully on December 23, 2021. George will be sorely missed by those who he knew and shared his thoughts and feelings with. He was a man of noble character, hard working, and would always help those in need of his electrical expertise. He enjoyed the beach, warm ocean waters, and the activities of those in the crowd. His favourite destination was Cuba with the hot sun, sandy beaches, and the clean ocean air. Although he is only survived by his two sisters in Romania, he will surely be reunited with his mother and father in spiritual paradise. George lived a simple life but it was rich with many intense experiences that enriched his character, his knowledge, and wisdom. We all believe you are now in a better place and will no longer suffer the pain and debilitation your cancer caused you. Peace is with you George for all eternity.

Visitation for George Rasteu will be held on January 4, 2022 from 1 pm until 2 pm at the York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, ON, M2N 5Z5. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm, and an internment will take place at York Cemetery (Section 36, Lot 805). Please note indoor attendance is limited and masks will be mandatory.
