In Loving Memory of George Ferreira

George Ferreira, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 11, 2024. Born to Portuguese immigrant parents, Manuel and Joanne Ferreira, George embodied the values of hard work, integrity, and dedication to family, that were instilled in him from a young age. He was a loving husband to Denise and a proud father to his son Eric. He also extended this love to Denise’s family in Montreal.

Throughout his life, George worked tirelessly as a carpenter, honing his craft with dedication and passion. His commitment to excellence was evident in every project he undertook, leaving behind a legacy of skill and craftsmanship that will endure for generations to come.

But George’s life extended far beyond the workshop. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, where he shared countless memories with cherished friends and his son Eric. Whether fishing on tranquil lakes, hunting in rugged forests, or cruising the open waters, George thrived in the company of his companions, finding strength and camaraderie in their shared adventures.

George's unwavering commitment to his family and friends was a testament to his character. He was a pillar of strength and support, always ready with a helping hand or a listening ear. His genuine kindness will be forever treasured by those who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife Denise, his adoring son Eric, his brother Vince and wife Elaine, his mother Joanne, and a host of other family members and friends whose lives he touched profoundly. Though he may no longer walk among us, George’s spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of George’s life will be held on Thursday April 25th, 2024 from 1 to 5 p.m at 7732 Mavis Rd, Brampton, where friends and family will come together to honor his memory and share stories of a life well-lived.

You’re free now, George. You can go ahead and catch the big one.

I miss you and I love you George. You were always a source of warmth, joy, and laughter. I vividly remember family gatherings when my sister and I were kids, and you would sneak up and tickle us until we were shouting and laughing. I'll carry those memories with me forever.
