George was best known as the handyman and jokester of the family, with a sense of humour that lit up the room and left his grandkids always laughing.

We worked at WGCC in Windermere. We played golf and I will always remember playing golf with George & The Big 'M'! George was a good friend and had a great sense of humor. We had many discussions about sports .. And who was the best. Leafs. Nfl baseball .. We covered all the sports! Great times and many memories!

Debbie, Lynn, Dean, Norman & Louisa,
I was saddened to hear of George's passing. He always made a point of visiting Mom & Dad whenever he was in Timmins. Although we hadn't spoken for a few years, I always enjoyed our conversations. My deepest sympathies during this difficult time.

I was also born in Schumacher a month after George. We both belonged to the Croatian Hall and played in the Orchestra together. We were close friends early in our youth till I left in 1953 to go to school and in 1957 got married and George was one of my ushers at the wedding. My wife and I moved to Niagara Falls, started raising a family and unfortunately gradually lost touch with one another. We are very sorry and express our sincere condolences to his family, especially Zora who is now the only one left of the original Maletichs. God Bless You all]

I was sorry to read George’s obituary in the Saturday Star. I met this nice man a couple of times over the years and knew Johnny and Alice better as we attended the same Croatian events in the past. May George rest in peace as he now joins his beloved wife. Sincere condolences to those who loved him and will miss him.
