George J. Stogiannis
Peacefully passed away on January 16th, 2019 at 7:40pm his 85th year with his family by his side and his wife and grandchildren holding him.
Beloved husband of Sophia for 59 years. Father to John (Beatrix) and Jenny (Walter). Dedo to Gregory, Katrin and Stephanie.
Predeceased by his parents Vane and Prosha and his brother Dennis. Special thanks to Dr. Robson and Dr. Soliman and their teams at Sunnybrook's Odette Cancer Centre and the staff at Hill House Hospice.
All relatives and friends are encouraged to come and celebrate his life at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, 416-221-3404 on Sunday, January 20th from 5:00 to 9:00pm and Monday, January 21st from 5:00 to 9:00pm.
Internment service will begin at 10:00am on Tuesday, January 22nd at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made in his name at Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre (please see link to charity under Donations.)
