In memory of

Geoffrey Karl Rohoman

December 5, 1983 -  May 7, 2025

Geoff was born in Brampton to Karl and Carol and spent his formative years growing up there. After graduating high school, he attended Humber College taking a three-year program in journalism. He then joined SportsNet The Fan as an intern. He moved to 1130 News in Vancouver from 2006 to 2010 and then moved back to Toronto and joined 680 News.

In the middle of 2024, Geoff was hospitalized where he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He also suffered severe depression and anxiety which worsened with the loss of his job. His health deteriorated with the ultimate end in 2025. He touched many people with his lighthearted approach to reporting. Geoff was a sports fan. He played soccer in his younger years and loved the Leafs, Blue Jays and Raptors but his greatest love was wrestling, which he knew everything about. With his many interviews with celebrities, he always asked them who their favourite wrestler was.

Family and Friends will be received at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE- MISSISSAUGA 1535 South Gateway Road (at Dixie Road, two lights south of Eglinton) 905-602-1580 on Saturday June 7, 2025, for a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Visitation one hour prior.

If you are able, please wear bright colours to honour Geoff at the Celebration of Life.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to Colorectal Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Geoff,
You were so deeply loved.
Your sense of humour always caught me off guard in the best way—witty, clever, and completely your own. I’ll never forget the laughs we shared or how much fun we had playing board games with the kids, just enjoying those simple, joyful moments together.

I wish your struggle hadn’t been so heavy. I breathe a little easier now knowing you are finally at peace—that your body is no longer weighing you down, and your mind is no longer struggling.
You mattered to me more than words can ever truly say.
I will always hold you in my heart.
Love,
Boo

My condolences to Geoff’s parents Carol and Karl. Geoff was a great man loved hearing his voice on the radio which was a get pick me up in the morning. Still remember to time my Dad and I meet Geoff and his parents at a restaurant in Pickering and my Dad saying to Geoff it’s really nice to put a face to the voice. He will be missed by all.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Geoff’s passing
Even though we have 2 sons, Geoff, you were our only nephew with the Rohoman name and Guyanese/Scottish heritage
You had a sharp wit, a bold spirit, and a great sense of humor that shone through in every conversation. Your smooth, confident voice was perfect for radio. I always loved tuning in to hear you when you were on
As long as we can remember, wrestling was your first love, and you carved out a real name for yourself in UFC, MMA, and WWF circles. You built a strong following and real friendships along the way.
To Karl and Carol (Geoff’s parents) stay strong during this difficult time and remember the good times you had with Geoff
We will never forget you Geoff, rest in peace nephew.
