In memory of

Geoff Sheffrin

April 8, 1942 -  October 23, 2025

Our hearts are heavy as we share the sudden passing of
Geoff Sheffrin on October 23, 2025.
Geoff was predeceased by his wife Deanna Gay, who passed away in 2014. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Heidi, Dinah (Dean), and Simone, and his grandson, Matthew (Brandon), all of whom brought him great pride and joy. He was a devoted big brother to Nick (Ros), and a cherished uncle to his niece Cherry, and nephews William, Colin and Steven. For the past decade, he shared a wonderful companionship with his partner, Laura, whose presence enriched his later years.

Geoff was a man of many passions. At his core, he was devoted to both his family and his work as a consultant and Professional Engineer, continuing to pursue his career with enthusiasm and purpose right up to his final day. He was an avid road cyclist, a dedicated squash player, and a lifelong fan of Formula One racing. His love for Porsches ran deep and he could often be found behind the wheel or on the track. Beyond Geoff’s love of cars, he cared deeply about the planet. Through his work with the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, he supported initiatives that promoted climate action and environmental awareness, causes he championed with the same energy and commitment that defined every part of his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 15, 2025, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre located at 1535 S Gateway Road, Mississauga, ON L4W 5G6. Family, friends, and associates are invited to join in remembering and celebrating a life well lived and deeply loved, with family members offering words of remembrance at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Geoff’s memory may be made in support of the Engineers Foundation of Ontario; a Foundation dedicated to advancing engineering education and community impact across the province: engineersfoundation.ca

Geoff, my business partner and friend for decades is not with us any more. I will miss his wisdom, dry sense of humor and great engineering knowledge that helped us navigate through the various project related challenges.
He was an honest man, that believed in working out differences with mutual respect and candor. My wife Shoshi, and I extend our sincere condolences to his family, in Canada and abroad.

Dad, you know how much you were loved. Thank you for always being there, for being my shoulder to lean on and life line when needed. You were my rock, my mentor, my hero and now my angel. Love you and miss you so much.
