Gastão Louro Mendes nasceu na ilha da Terceira, na cidade de Angra do Heroísmo, no dia 12 de agosto de 1931. Ele faleceu pacificamente no dia 3 de dezembro de 2016 e é sobrevivido por sua esposa Maria Paulina Vieira Mendes, filha Maria da Graça Vieira Mendes e genro James Shee Wa Li.

Gastao Louro Mendes was born in the island of Terceira, in the city of Angra do Heroismo, on the 12th of August 1931. He died peacefully on December 3, 2016 and is survived by his wife Maria Paulina Vieira Mendes, daughter Maria da Graca Vieira Mendes and son-in-law James Shee Wa Li.
