Born on August 26, 1949, was a well respected linguistics professor at the Moscow University for many years. After her arrival to Canada, she reinvented herself through the field of accounting. Galina spent over 10 years working for BDO Dunwoody.
Galina loved home improvement and was incredibly handy. She constantly challenged herself with projects such as sewing curtains or painting her apartment.
Books and literature, especially history and the arts, were loved by Galina. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading throughout her entire life.
Galina will be fondly remembered by family and friends as strong, intelligent, and resilient. She always put the needs of others before herself and approached life with a truly positive attitude.
A loving mother to Elena, devoted mother-in-law to Rick, and nurturing grandmother to Zachary and Daniel, Galina will be dearly missed.
