In memory of

Gabriel Musni Mascardo

November 5, 1940 -  May 26, 2020

He was born in Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines on November 5, 1940 to
Gabriel G. Mascardo and Lucena Musni and was raised with unconditional love by
his stepfather Isidro Ibay.

He became a devoted husband to Patrocinia U. Mascardo along with being
a remarkable father to 5 children: Kelly, Ness, Marlie, John, and Katrina;
his 4 in-laws: Regino, Arcel, Lyndon, and Myllyn, and
his 7 grandchildren: Reginald, Kenneth, Regine, Arianne, Nick, Gabby, and Patricia.

He was also loved by his siblings:
Jojie and Maru, Ting and Alot, Grace and Jay, Peachy and Alvin,
Mante and Tess, Baby and Dino, Boy and Nydia, Lot and Lito, Neneng and Boy,
Maggie and Ding, Lelet and Banny, Jojie and Marilou, and their families.

Besides his immense love for his wife, he was passionate about education and hard work in his craftsmanship and trades projects in his younger years. He was an amazing provider of the household, a loving brother, and a generous son. He always made sure to give his benediction to family as a farewell and in his prayers.

He enjoyed the closeness of his family, movies, silly jokes, vacations, and being a bookworm. He was often sought out for his advice, support, and contagious laughter because of his strong character. He was a man of his word. He was distinguished as unfailing at his work ethic, a lover of knowledge, a fighter, and a strong, determined man. In his elderly years, he gained wisdom and gentleness, that his family treasured. He had opened his heart and found grace in Jesus Christ. The unending love that he received from God and his family became his regained strength through prayer for he discovered a new ray of light and purpose.

Gabriel M. Mascardo lived an abundant life filled with God, love for his legacy, colourful and entertaining stories filled with friends and family, and most of all, his integrity. He will be remembered for his wit, sense of humour, overflowing love, generosity, blunt honesty, and strength by those who know him. His memory will be kept alive by his beloved wife of 53 years, Patrocinia, children, and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and cherished by many.

The family says, thank you Papang for all of your love, sacrifices, and the joyous imprint you’ve left on us all. We love you and know you are home with the Lord God Almighty.

We are deeply saddened by Uncle Loreto’s untimely passing. But we also know that he is already in perfect peace and joy with his creator, the Lord our God.
Uncle Loreto, we will truly miss you. We know you are in a better place now. You will not be forgotten and will always have a place in our hearts.
