In memory of

Fred Branstrom

November 23, 1934 -  April 8, 2020

Frederick Branstrom was born to Aino and Albert Branstrom by midwife on the 23rd of November 1934. He grew up in the Thunder Bay area. After high school (PACI), he joined the Air Force where he served from January of 1954 to December of 1959. He flew as navigator on the CF-100s. After he left the service, he lived in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver before settling back in Toronto, with his 2nd wife, Helen. He traveled a great deal as a result of his employment (Weir Group/Peacock Brothers) and rose to a senior executive position before his retirement. Fred and Helen traveled extensively. They enjoyed golfing in the summers and skiing in the winters. Fred was also active in the Air Force Association and attended many re-unions with his old squadrons.
Fred and Helen spent a lot of time with his older sister Greta and her husband Howard. He treasured his relationship with his sister.
Fred also leaves behind 3 daughters. Debra (Dave) in Alberta, Brenda (Becki) in Colorado, and Sherry (Roland) in Thunder Bay. Survived also by granddaughter Caitlin, and grandsons Michael, Christopher and Eric, and 5 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Fred will be missed by all. At a time to be determined, there will be a scattering of his ashes at the Rose Garden, Mt Pleasant cemetery.
