梅樹忠先生 Frank Moy

November 11, 1934 -  June 1, 2019

Mui Shù Zhōng (Frank Moy) peacefully passed away on June 1, 2019 at Scarborough General Hospital. He was born in Taishan, Guangdong, People Republic of China on November 11, 1934. He was the youngest of four children. He emigrated to Trinidad when he was 11 years old and grew up with his uncle, aunt and cousins. He married his wife, Ng Měi Fēn (Betty Moy) on Easter Sunday on March 29, 1959. They had two children, Richard and Gilbert. During his time in Trinidad, he and his wife operated numerous successful cafeterias. His happy moments in Trinidad was on Sundays where he would take his family to the beach in the afternoon to swim and have family time together. In 1972, he and his family were successful in obtaining landed immigrant status to Canada. The family travelled to Canada each year to renew their landed immigrant status. In 1976, he and his wife decided to leave the children with family so that they could begin schooling in Canada. The following year he and his wife and mother decided to emigrate to Canada permanently. He worked for Dyment Limited until he retired in 2000. He was very proud of his family especially the accomplishment of both his sons and grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren very dearly and would go over and above to ensure that they were well taken care of. He is survived by his wife, Betty of 60 years and his sons, Richard (Patricia) and Gilbert (Qiuling) and his grandchildren Rebecca, Nancy, Christopher, Carolyn, Pauline and Stephanie, his sister in law and niece Alice in New Zealand, nephew Robert in Trinidad, nephew Wing Fei in United States, brother in law Victor (Wendy), Henry in Boston and numerous cousins in United States, Canada, and Trinidad.
