In memory of

Frances Ann Rideout

February 28, 1952 -  January 8, 2022

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Frances Ann Rideout (Campbell) on January 8, 2022. At Providence Healthcare Scarborough Ontario.

Frances Ann and was born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia on February 28, 1952 to the lake Gordon and Marie Campbell.

She is survived by her husband Sidney Rideout and daughter Nadine (Kevin) and son Dwayne (wife) and her six grandchildren, two of them being Brittney and Makayla.

She is also survive by brothers Jeremine (Makeo), Sheldon (Linda), Gordie (Theresa) and her sister Colleen (Gerry) as well as her many nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Patsy.

Frances and was predeceased by her sister Doreen (Jackie) and most recently her brother Murdock (Dianne).

Frances moved to Ontario at the age of 16 the year was 1968. When in 1969 she met Sidney through a mutual friend at her brother Jeremines apartment. On July 25, 1970 they married and have been together 52 years.

She had many jobs from retail, sewing, babysitting, cleaner, packer, tele-comer and then crossing guard was the last of them. Which she enjoyed the most because she loved the children and the families she helped each day. She was truly a “jack of all trades.” She would try and take on anything.

She had many friendships that have lasted over several years, as well as many new ones along the way. She would do anything for anybody in need.

She got her drivers license in her 30s and that is when you couldn’t keep her home. A “sense of freedom” and a vehicle to help anyone who needed to get around.

She love to travel, playing darts and cards (even made up games). She also liked to party and dance. Had many a “girls’ night” out even if it was just over at a neighbours house.

She was a “warrior” nothing was taking her down without a fight. Her saying became “it is what it is” and she still had the “SASS” that we all knew and loved about her to get her through the days.

She love “butterflies” which really are “mini angels” on earth that guided her to the clouds where the angels carried her to be with her family who are waiting for her.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. And she also has left us with a little piece of her in our hearts.

Cremation is taking place, due to recent restrictions, viewing/services will be held at a later date (family will advise).

In Lieu of flowers you may make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I have known Frances pretty much all of my life as well as my kids and my wife Sonia who has known her for 24 years. Frances was a very strong, funny and kind hearted woman who wasn’t afraid to voice her own opinion. It was always a pleasure to see Frances when we came home to visit my parents. We had many talks as well as laughs and hugs and kisses with Frances that will be forever in our hearts and memories.

She will be missed by many, especially us and we send our deepest condolences and love to her husband Sid, her two children Nadine and Dwayne and her grandchildren.

Frances we know my mom, your best friend Kit will be waiting for you at the gates of heaven to welcome you with arms wide open.

One of the funniest people I ever met. Her sense of humour was something else. The stories she could tell had you in stitches laughing. Another friend joining the angels. Gone but not forgotten. R.I.P. Frances.
Condolences to all the family.
