In memory of

Franca Parks

October 14, 1960 -  November 1, 2025

Francesca “Franca” Parks, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025 (All Saints' Day), at the age of 65. She spent her final moments surrounded by her loving family and in the gentle care of the compassionate nurses and doctors at Sunnybrook Hospital. Franca leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She is survived by her husband, Craig, and their three daughters, Tess, Isabella, and Emma. She will be dearly missed by her sister Linda (John), brother Joe (Linda), brother-in-law Clem, and her nieces and nephews: Tina (Nicko), Anthony (Stacey), Mario, Emilio, Bianca, and Marco. Franca is now reunited with her sister, Pina, and her parents, Emilio and Teresa.

From a young age, Franca had a constant desire to create and find new ways to express herself, a passion she carried throughout her life through reading, drawing, making jewellery, knitting and crocheting, gardening, and crafting with her sisters and daughters.

In recent years, Franca embraced life with a renewed spirit—becoming more adventurous, spontaneous, playful, and joyful than ever. These qualities were fueled by travel, new opportunities to cook for and create for others, and the simple pleasure of spending time with the people she loved most.

Franca will be remembered for her incredible cooking and baking (especially her garlic chicken, chocolate coconut macaroons, chocolate cake, and lemon loaf), her beautifully and meticulously crocheted creations for friends and strangers alike, and her impeccable taste in jewellery. She also took great pride in her work as a legal assistant, always going above and beyond to support her colleagues and to mentor new staff.

Franca touched the lives of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of God and the family members who have gone before her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Sunnybrook Hospital in support of the Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program.

Her passing was too soon . I happily recall Franca’s artistic creations when we were children. She demonstrated her endless kindness and generous spirit through her soft spoken and gentle manner . Franca and Craig have raised three wonderful young women in Tessa, Isabella and Emma, who are bright, graceful and loving. Franca’s spirit endures through each of you . Rest in peace Franca.

Franca,
I only met you once, but since knowing Isabella have experienced vicariously and through stories the joy, silliness, care, and love you radiate to your family and those around you.
