Florence Margaret Lally

October 25, 1934 -  October 26, 2022

Florence Margaret Lally, 88, of Toronto, Ontario, passed on October 26, 2022. She was born to George and May Musgrove in Beckenham, England on October 25, 1934. Predeceased by two loving brothers George Jr. and David.

She married John Joseph Lally Sr. in 1964 and they shared a beautiful 45 years together raising son John Joseph Lally Jr. She is survived by daughter in law Paula Maskery, grandchildren Chris (Steff) Lally, Erin (Jenn) Lally and great granddaughter Nova who will all miss their dear Nana.

She will be fondly remembered by her family across the UK, Clive (Trish), Gail (Grahame), Rupert (Lisa), Helen, Stephanie, Maggie, Graeme and Fi.

Margaret spent many of her working years as a secretary at the BBC. In her spare time she enjoyed writing children’s stories and observing nature.

Margaret was such a magnetic spirit, she was known as fun loving, kind, and quite witty by all who loved her.

She spent her final day celebrating her 88th birthday and a life well lived with friends at her residence, Canterbury Place, before she was reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.

Margaret was a lovely person to chat with. We used to enjoy our conversations on the way to Canterbury home whenever I had the pleasure of driving her back from church. Due to Covid we did not meet as often. May she rest in peace.

Margaret was a dear friend to our family. She and John were part of our Canadian English family having all come to Canada at roughly the same time. Our sympathies go out to her family in Canada and in England.
