Filka Tanos

October 3, 1927 -  September 14, 2021

TANOS, Filka (nee TSINOKAS) – Born October 3, 1927 in Vevi Florina Greece. Passed away peacefully at the age of 93, at Eatonville Care Centre on September 14, 2021 and is now reunited in Heaven with her loving husband Pando.

Loving and dedicated mother to Michael (Barbara), Mary (Dave) and Crisa. Deeply cherished Baba to Kate, Adam (Karinn), Erin (David) and Laura (Joey) and newly Great-Baba to Joelle and Gwen.

She will be forever missed but always lovingly remembered in our hearts and many memories. Filka will be forever remembered for her love and dying devotion for her family.

Filka was well-known for her signature greeting for everyone, "Hi Gorgeous!"

We would like to thank the staff at Eatonville Care Centre, 3rd floor, for the special care they provided for our Mother and especially during the last 6 months.

My family sends our deepest condolences to you and your family.

I had the pleasure of knowing Baba. Even though she was not my grandmother, she took on the role of one.
She was always kind and loved us all.

She will be greatly missed.

Love Corrado

Dear Crisa and family,

We are so very sorry about your dear mother. It was our pleasure and privilege to be your neighbours for many years. We always enjoyed seeing you and your mother on Strathmore, and having little chats. It was wonderful to see all the lovely photos of your mother, you and your family.

She loved you so very much. No matter their age, or ours, the loss of a beloved parent is profound. You and your family are in our hearts and thoughts.
