It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fernando Felix on Saturday April 21, 2018, at Bridgepoint Health Center, at the age of 92. Born 1925 in Foz do Arelho, Portugal. Fernando passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving ladies at his side. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are, his devoted wife (“Lola”) Gabriela, daughter (filha) Fernanda, granddaughter (neta) Jennifer, and great granddaughter (netinha) Alyssa.
Fernando embraced a strong set of values and encompassed a belief of working hard. After immigrating to Canada he worked as a construction labourer for over 35 years. He was an avid gardener and was passionate about his vegetable garden – especially his big red tomatoes and his roses. He enjoyed being outdoors and was very popular amongst his nieghbours. Always friendly and willing to lend a helping hand.
Throughout his life he was a devoted family man who enjoyed watching his granddaughters grow into responsible young women. He was more than the ordinary grandpa; he was a great role model and father figure to his girls. He took pride in helping to raise and loving them. He will be greatly missed.
