It is with great sadness that the family of Fadil Okaj announces his passing, on Sunday April 28, 2019 in his 85th year. He passed peacefully surrounded by his family. Fadil will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Nexhi and their children, Majlinda, Arben and Mimoza. Fadil will also be forever remembered by his three granddaughters, Ingrid, Rosanna and Gabriella, by his sons-in-law, Amir and George, and his nieces and nephew, Vjollca, Gazmend, Ardjana and their families. He will be missed by all his extended family and dear friends.

Fadil was born in Shkoder, Albania and retired after a long career in education. He was a passionate teacher who provided great guidance to his students. His kindness and compassion toward others will be missed by all.

The family would like to thank the many people who supported Fadil in the recent months, especially his nurses at Sunnybrook hospital.

A celebration of Fadil’s life will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Centre at 10:00am to 12:00 pm on Sunday May 5th. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery with luncheon afterward. If desired, donations in memory of Fadil may be made to Sunnybrook Foundation or Sick Kids Foundation.
