Without Evelyn my wife and I would never have known of the opportunity to circumnavigate the globe with Semester at Sea. On our third voyage she helped us celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. An indomitable spirit.

I met Evelyn a few years ago as we sat side by side on a flight to Athens. I was immediately taken by her warmth, courage and love of family.
I knew her for 8 hours, I will remember her forever. Condolences to her beautiful family.

Family of Evelyn-
I am so sorry for your loss. Evelyn was such a vibrant spirit and I was so lucky to have met her so many years ago. I was a young college student travelling the world and her tips, tricks, and encouragement I will always carry with me-on the road and in life.

Erica, Leslie and families, your Mom was a legend. She inspired me to take a three-month journey to Ireland on my own and it changed my life. Her humour and personality shone through the issues of Journeywoman, and in all her social media posts. She never let on that she was ill, always focusing in the joy, beauty and love around her and sharing it with others. May you find comfort and solace in vibrant memories and in knowing she truly made a positive, lasting difference in the lives of many.

Evelyn was one of a kind -- such an inspiration to so many. She helped my tour business grow and was always so supportive. She leaves a lovely legacy. Sending good thoughts to her friends, children and grandchildren. May you take comfort in the fact that she will be missed by just about everyone who knew her!
