VALKANAS, Evangelos
Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Hellenic Home in Toronto on October 14, 2017 at the age of 86. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Rosa(nee Vedouras). Loving father of Bill and Spyros. Beloved papou of Angelica, Christopher, Evangelos, Thomas and Katherine. Loving brother of Theoni, Nick and Veliota. Evangelos will also be missed by many extended family members from Canada and Greece. He will be forever remembered for his love and devotion to his family. Visitation will be held at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE (1200 Thornton Road, North, Oshawa 905-579-6787) on Wednesday October 18 from 6-8 pm. Funeral will take place at Greek Orthodox Church Evangelismos - Sts. Nectarios and Grasimos of Oshawa (399 Farewell Street)on Friday October 20 at 11:30 am. Interment at Thornton Cemetery to follow.
