ÉVA DARVASI (nee FRITS) Passed away peacefully at home with her immediate family by her bedside on May 17, 2025 at the age of 89. Predeceased by her beloved 2nd husband Lászlo (Laci) Darvasi of 38 years in 2014, and her 1st husband Tibor Tóth in 2006. Loving mother of Éva Bolla, and Tibor (Steve) Tóth and his wife Mary. Cherished grandmother of Michael and Andrea, Adam, Kristina and Daniel. Great-grandmother to Ava and Henry. Predeceased by her sister Kati (Kathy) Kramer in 2023. She will be lovingly remembered by her niece Mary-Anne Hegedüs and her husband Miki and family.

Éva loved her Magyar (Hungarian) heritage and always enjoyed socializing and getting together with colleagues and close friends. She volunteered tirelessly to help support the Hungarian community and her church over many, many years. Her organizational abilities and fund-raising efforts for dinner/dance functions and other events helped to bring the community together. She lead the Magyar Ház Nöi Csoport (Hungarian House Woman's Club) for several years and together with the hard working ladies in the group, helped to raise the Hungarian presence in Toronto.

She will also be lovingly remembered by Krystyna Buczel, who helped look after her as if she was her own mother. Thank you for everything Krystyna. Thanks from the family also goes out to the House Calls for Seniors Interdisciplinary Healthcare team, and particularly to Dr Sinclair Mills, who has been right there through Éva's journey together with us.

Visitation (9am), Funeral Service (10am), Interment (11am) and Reception (12-2pm) will all take place on Friday, May 23, 2025 at York Cemetery within their Funeral Centre and property (160 Beecroft Road, North York, M2N 1W7).
