In the presence of loving family, Gene passed away at Centenary hospital on Monday, June 12 at the age of 75.

Loving husband of Caryn for 48 years. Caring and devoted father to Holly (Rein) and Marni. Proud Poppa to Amelia and Lilli-Anne. Dear baby brother to Marilyn.

Gene was a kind and selfless man. He loved helping out friends and family and it brought him true happiness to know that the people close to him were loved and cared for. You could always depend on him to lift peoples' spirits.

He took pleasure in the little things; puttering in the garden, goofing around with his granddaughters and spending time with loved ones. He was an attentive listener and deeply cared for those around him.

While he might not be with us anymore we hold him dear in our hearts and minds. He will be sadly missed.

Gene's Celebration of Life will be held at Pine Hills cemetery and visitation centre on Friday, June 23 from 1:00-3:00.
