February 10, 1947 -  April 30, 2025

In loving memory of Etson Christopher McAlister. Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 after a courageous battle with kidney disease. Cherished father of Nikki and Moya McAlister. Adored by his grandchild; his many nieces and nephews. Lovingly remembered by his siblings Edwin McAlister, Edmund McAlister, Shereen McAlister, Edward McAlister, Edric McAlister, Sheeren Theodore, Brian Theodore and Natasha Theodore. Predeceased by his parents Carlton and Eva McAlister and siblings Sterling McAlister, Brian McAlister, Marva McAlister, Gemma McAlister, Amber McAlister and Chrisline McAlister. Etson will be dearly missed by his many extended family, friends and fondly remembered by his Caribbean steelpan community.

Visitation will take place at Pine Hills Funeral Centre 625 Birchmount Rd. Scarborough (North of St. Clair Ave E.) on Tuesday, May 6th from 4:00 p.m. -5:00pm. Service will begin at 5:00 p.m. There will be a livestream beginning at 4:45pm from this website for those not able to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in Etson’s memory can be made to Scarborough General Hospital for their amazing care they provided.
