In memory of

Ethel Crews

November 10, 1930 -  May 4, 2021

Ethel Frances Crews (Williams) went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on May 4th, 2021 at age 90.

Ethel was born to John (DJ) and Annie B Williams on November 10th, 1930 in Triton, Newfoundland.

Ethel met her husband, Tommy Crews in Toronto, Ontario. They married on November 12, 1955, and went on to have three children, John, Alex (Sherry), and Lawrence (Tammy). Ethel was the very proud Nan to Jamie, Tommy, Steven, Jonathan, Victoria, and Bethany, and the Proud Great-Nan to Theo and Liam.

Ethel is predeceased by her husband Tommy Crews, and her son John Crews.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Ethel also loved spending time with all of the friends that she made throughout the years. Going to church and singing hymns was the highlight of her week. Throughout her life, Ethel held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Although she lived in Ontario, she adored her large family in Newfoundland, and found great joy in keeping in contact, and spending time with them.

Ethel was always known for her enthusiasm and energy. She was classy and stylish, young-at-heart, and even until the end, she always had a compliment for everyone she met. Her family, friends, and many others will miss her dearly.

In lieu of cards or flowers, please feel free to make a donation to the Salvation Army in honour of her.

Mrs. Crews... I will always remember my very very first day at Scarboro Gospel Temple. It was our first interaction at an Evangelical Church. You and Mrs Janzen were in the front lobby greeting folks and chatting with everyone, and it was the two of you that encouraged me to go to the youth group on the upcoming Wednesday night. You told me I would make so many new friends and I would love it, you weren't wrong...the rest is history. I never saw you with anything but a glowing smile and a compliment no matter who you were talking to. It was your mission in life to encourage every young person that came across your path and we are eternally grateful for what you put in our lives at those really delicate times. Thank you for everything Mrs. Crews, love you...see you again. Xoxo Chuck
