In memory of

Esther Mezo

May 15, 1935 -  June 29, 2023

Esther Mezo passed away peacefully, at home, among her loved ones on June 29.

She was born in Hungary and emigrated to Canada in the wake of the 1956 revolution. She devoted her life to her family and the service of the church. Her gifts of intelligence and resourcefulness were selflessly offered to others, and her life was a testament to how God's love works in the world.

Esther is preceded in death by her husband Paul and her second husband János. She is survived by her four children and ten grandchildren.

The Mezo Family wishes to direct any donations towards the Hungarian Reformed Evangelical Christian Church.

Erika went to camp in the 80’s with Rev. Vasarhelyi. Those times were so very special to me.
I remember how Eszti néni would make túró from store bought milk to make túros tészta for the camp! She was very kind and caring. I will forever have fond memories of her!
To Eszter, Paul, Eva and Peter and your families: Please accept our deepest and most heartfelt condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with all. While we do rejoice with you that she is in heaven with Jesus and loved ones who have preceded her, we mourn with you at the sadness that she is no longer here in our midst. May her legacy of beautiful and precious memories of every kind help heal your hearts during this most difficult of times.
With much love,
Tibor & Erika Muszik

We miss Eszti néni, she was the bedrock for her family. She was a light in a dark world. She was willing to listen and give wisdom to those who would take it. Her memory will live in our hearts as long as we live. She found her eternal peace in the presence of the Lord, her Savior.
