In memory of

Esther Maine

February 9, 1925 -  July 19, 2024

The family of Esther Maine is deeply saddened to announce her sudden death on July 19, 2024. Esther died peacefully at Mount Sinai Hospital at the age of 99. She was widowed by her husband, Bill Maine, and will be forever missed by her children Jill (Al) and Steve (Fern). She was a proud Grandmother to Cheryl, Michael, Angie, Steve, and Stacey, plus her many amazing Great-Grandchildren. A devoted sister, Esther was predeceased by her siblings Charlie, Mae, and Dorothy. She cherished the love of her nephews and nieces dearly.

She loved living in Toronto and was truly grateful to have so many close friends and neighbours who shared many laughs with her and helped her over the years.

Esther will be remembered for her passion for life, independent spirit, and deep love for her family. Her love of life didn’t end with her death; it will live on in our memories. At Esther’s request, there will be no service. She will be cremated and her final resting place will be at Prospect Cemetery.
