In memory of

Joyce Lehrer

March 23, 1937 -  November 13, 2017

Loving wife of Don, devoted mother of Doug (Rob), Rich (Nicole) and Jim (Tamara), grandmother of Mitchell, Melanie, Max and Mia, and sister of Hal, Don (late) and Linda, Joyce passed away at home, peacefully and surrounded by her family and her amazing care team. Joyce was born in McCreary, Manitoba, and attended university in Winnipeg, where she met the love of her life, Don. She worked for many years for the Regina Public Library and was a passionate cook, skier, camper and Rider fan. Joyce displayed incredible strength and perseverance during her recovery from a stroke in 1999. She continued to show her adventurous spirit by travelling to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, Mexico, Hawaii and Brazil. Thank you to the amazing staff of Delmanor Wynford, Mosaic Home Care, Circle of Care, St. Elizabeth Health Care and the Temmy Latner Centre. Celebrations of Joyce’s life will take place at Delmanor Wynford Retirement Home on Friday, November 17, at 7:00 pm and on a future date in Regina. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice.

The loss of a parent is always difficult; moreso when it is a parent who loved her family as Joyce did. You can see the impact of her love in her three outstanding children. While she will be missed, she has left enduring memories that will comfort those left behind and bring them smiles and laughter in addition to the tears of the present.
