In memory of

Errol Ivanhoe Moses Jr.

September 10, 1976 -  September 24, 2024

Errol Ivanhoe Moses Jr, 48, of Brampton, departed this life on September 24th, 2024 at Brampton Civic Hospital, surrounded by the love of family and friends. He faced a brave five-month battle with cancer, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of joy.

Born on September 10,1976, in Toronto Ontario, Errol was the beloved son of Errol Ivanhoe Moses and Sonia Patricia Moses. He was married to Sarah Thibodeau and together they shared two beautiful children, Chloe and Gabriel.

For the past decade, Errol dedicated his skills as a Heavy Equipment Operator at CN Rail. His passion for music, especially the Funk sounds of the 70s, 80s, and 90s, was a defining aspect of his life. Whether cruising with the windows down and music blaring or tending to his garden, Errol’s spirit was always vibrant. He enjoyed spending time with his children and the neighbourhood kids, often with a speaker nearby to share his favourite tracks. A dedicated and involved father, he took great pride in his role. His passion for basketball was evident, as he proudly supported the Toronto Raptors and participated in various soccer and basketball teams during his youth, including the North Park Trojan’s, and from the provincial level, he played with the Brampton Blue Devils.

A gifted artist with a passion for design, Errol pursued his studies in Architectural Design at Sheridan College after high school. His dream of creating his own sneaker line was a testament to his creativity, though life's responsibilities led him down a different path—one he navigated with grace and determination, believing that a higher purpose awaited him. His true calling emerged in his role as a nurturing father, a position that filled him with immense joy. Beyond art, Errol had a deep appreciation for cars, often found working on his beloved RX7 and other vehicles that followed, including his cherished Subaru WRX, which held a special place in his heart despite not being the Pearl white STI hatch he had always dreamed of. This passion for cars has left a lasting impact on his youngest son, Gabriel, inspiring a legacy of love and creativity.

Errol is survived by his devoted wife, Sarah, and children Sydney, Boston, Chloe, and Gabriel, along with his parents, Sonia and Errol Moses, as well as numerous aunts and cousins who will forever hold his memory close.

Visitation and funeral services will take place at Meadowvale Cemetery, located at 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, Ontario, on Sunday, October 6th, 2024. Visitation will be from 10am-11am followed by the funeral service from 11am-12pm.

My deepest condolences to the entire Moses family on such a great loss. Errol fondly know to us as Junior was such a bright, funny and loving nephew. He and my daughters grew up more as brother and sisters more than cousins. We have shared so many family memories throughout the years. This beautiful soul is just gone too soon leaving us all in great sadness. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Junior Rest In Peace.

First and foremost I would like to send my deepest condolences to the whole family. Moses was a true friend,I had the pleasure of spending the last 10 years working beside moses at CN, I spent majority of my career on night shift with him and we formed a real strong bond together. We always joked around and did some “chirping” but in the end we had many many heart to heart conversations about life, music, sports, and many other things. We always made it a routine to check in with each other when I switched shifts,he always made it over to have a quick chat, sometimes those chats went on way longer than they should have but thats just how it was with us. I am truly saddened and crushed and will forever hold a spot in my heart for him. He was a true friend and just a beautiful soul. May you rest in peace my friend- YEAAHHH GUY!!!
