We are sad to announce the sudden death of Ernest “Ernie” Thurston on Tuesday, October 10th, 2017. Ernie was born on January 13th, 1931. He worked for the Scarborough Township for 40 years. He was a member of the Shriners for over 25 years. He was predeceased by his Wife Marguerite, his Parents Arthur and Zelma and his Son David.

Ernie will be missed by his Children Blair (Mary), Sharon (Don), Stephen and his Daughter in Law Deb, Sister Blanche, Grandchildren Jon (Julie), James (Sam), Matt (Molly), William (Tana), Great Grandchildren Avery, Zander, Julia, Liam, Angus, Garnet.

Friends may call at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. followed by A Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Grandpa, thank you for being the rock of the family. You were always there working hard and always took to time to help us when asked. In a world full of change I knew that I could always count on your solid honest advice. Julia and Liam will miss their great grandpa. Rest well grandpa, love James, Sam, Julia, and Liam.
