Ericka Heather Swaby, age 44 of Pickering, ON, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Toronto General Hospital Intensive Care Unit surrounded by her loved ones.

Ericka was born at North York General Hospital to Eric and Esther Swaby on January 7, 1978. She attended Elizabeth B. Phin Public School in Pickering, ON and later attended Dunbarton High School. Upon graduating from Dunbarton High School, she attended Durham College where she successfully completed her certificate and diploma in General Arts and Sciences. During Ericka’s extraordinary life, she raised funds for various organizations, such as Epilepsy Durham and Toronto, Heart and Stroke, Liver Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society and The Kidney Foundation of Canada. Many people have described Ericka as a true philanthropist.

Ericka has gone home to be with the Lord and has left behind her Mother (Esther), Father (Eric), Sisters (Joyce and Jacqueline), Nephews (Justin, Todge and Kirass), Grand-niece (J’Reya) and many other extended family members and friends across the world. We will see her again.
