Emily Hearn Valleau
January 17, 1925 - July 20, 2015
Emily Hearn Valleau, peacefully in Toronto on July 20th, age 90.
Born in Markham, Emily lived in Kitchener through her school years, Ottawa, then Toronto for university and her multi-layered career.
She was a widow, former spouse, sister, mother, stepmother, aunt, great-aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother.
Emily was a poet, children's writer, scriptwriter (Polka Dot Door, Mighty Mites, Franny books, Writers in Electronic Residence - WIER, Second Story Press, National Film Board) and ACTRA member.
Her keen powers of observation and contagious delight coloured her career and gained her a wide circle of friends.
Emily will be held in loving memory by her family and friends near and far.

There will be a celebration of her life at 980 Broadview Ave, Toronto, Saturday, Aug. 15, 2:00pm.
