Unseen, unheard,

Still loved, still missed
And very dear.

Marking the end of an era and the lives of two remarkable parents, nonni and bis-nonni, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dina Penzo on December 24th, 2021 and Emilio Penzo on March 18th, 2022. Cherished parents to Graziella (Cesare Tognarelli) and Gianfranco (Debbie); beloved and proud nonni to Paula (Richard), Stefano (Karen), Natasha (Graeme) and Luca (Olivia); and treasured nonni-bis to Christian, Hudson, Jack, Sofia, and Capri. Surrounded by friends and family in Toronto and in Italy, they will be forever remembered for their unwavering love for their family and each other. Our family would like to thank the dedicated staff of PSWs who tirelessly cared for Mimmo and Dina so that they could rest peacefully in their home just as they wished. Special thanks to Christina and Violetta for their loving care and support throughout the final months of their lives.
Emilio and Dina were married on July 27th, 1947 in Italy. The family has asked to gather together on what would have marked their 75th wedding anniversary to honour a long and happy life together.

Carissimi Dina e Mimmo, tutti coloro che ebbero la fortuna di conoscerVi Vi vollero bene, ed io sono uno di quei fortunati; e fortunato anche per aver avuto il privilegio di godere della Vostra amicizia, amicizia durata decenni e della quale serberò sempre un gradevolissimo ricordo. Siete stati esemplari nei rapporti amicali e, ancor più, esemplari nella vita coniugale: Esemplarità che non ha confronti! Ed oggi è con indicibile tristezza che Vi porgo il mio affettuosissimo, estremo saluto. Ciao Dina, ciao Mimmo.
