March 19, 1944 - September 10, 2017

Our family is deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, auntie, sister and friend Emelda Viola Garnette (née Herbert) on September 10th, 2017 at Scarborough General Hospital. Her smile was beautiful and her laughter contagious. Born in St. Kitts, you may know her as Miss John or Auntie.

She is survived by sons Michael, Clive and Stuart. We are blessed to have had such a beautiful soul in our lives and our children to have such a loving grandmother.

'Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.' (Philippians 4:6-7)

On behalf of my wife Beverly and our two sons Jason and Kevin we are deeply saddened for your loss. I have known Clive and his family for over 40 years and have witnessed myself how much he cared and loved his mom.

I too had great memories of the Sunday meals she prepared for all of Clive's friends. I was fortunate to have known her and though later on life I never had the opportunity to see her I can only say that she will be missed by all who were fortunate to have known her.
