In memory of

Elliott Fitzgerald Cooper

November 3, 1992 -  May 11, 2018

COOPER, Elliott Fitzgerald – November 3, 1992 – May 12, 2018 – passed away at home suddenly in Mississauga, Ontario in his 25th year. Son of Paul K. Cooper and Arlene L. Beaumont. Brother to Emily India Cooper. Grandson of the late Frank Cooper and Helen St. Jules (nee Cooper and Laford). Also Grandson to David Beaumont and Jean Cossey (nee Beaumont and Hemingway). Nephew to Glenn, Wayne, Steven, Kathy and Tracy Cooper. Also Nephew to Christine Reis (nee Beaumont). Cousin to Allison Shelrud, Glen Shelrud, and Anika Shelrud. Also cousin to Stephanie, Barrie, and Curtis McKone. Also loved by his long-time girlfriend Nayana Panickaruparampil. Friend to many at his job at Hardrock Construction.

Elliott was a son, brother and friend and there are not enough words to describe how much he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He graduated from Mississauga Secondary School in 2010 and shortly thereafter began his apprenticeship as a carpenter at Hardrock. He was endlessly proud to be a carpenter and recommended the trades for anyone looking for a good career. His parents Paul and Arlene and his sister were equally proud of his career and knew that he had followed in his grandfather’s Frank Cooper’s footsteps of working with his hands.

Elli as he was called by his parents was never short of love for life. He was boisterous, brave, determined and endlessly optimistic about the life ahead of him. He was kind in every way and widely respected at work for his energy and enthusiasm on the job. He possessed a boundless sense of humour and loved to make others laugh. He could turn a mildly humorous story into something hilarious because like his parents and sister he seemed to understand the human condition in all its nobility and madness. He also had great empathy for others especially those less fortunate than himself. In every way he was a sensitive soul and tried to compensate for the world’s harshness with laughter and stories.

Many thanks to the first responders who came to his home on Saturday evening, May 12 to try and bring him back. And also to the doctors and nurses at Credit Valley Hospital who worked valiantly to save our son. In the end he lost his battle with a sickness that has found its way into too many homes and lives in this country now. In the end he simply could not stay with us. His Mom, Dad and sister will be forever heartbroken at the loss of their beautiful, handsome, funny, noisy and brave son and brother. He did the best he could and he will be missed every day for the rest of our lives.

"The moving finger writes and having writ moves on, nor all thy piety and wit shall lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all thy tears wash out a word of it"

My deepest condolences to the entire Cooper family

God loans us to each other, briefly, that we might grow wide in love, sensibility, and compassion for all imperfection.
When that voice whispers to you, take your own best advice. Love.

“I am already given to the power that rules my fate. And I kling to nothing, so I will have nothing to defend. I have no thoughts. So I will see. And I have no fear. So I will remember myself. Detached and at ease. I will dart past the eagle to be free.”
I love you each, Paul, Arlene, Emily, and Elli. We are all bound.
Love Aunty Tracy xo💙
