It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ellen Kostopoulos (nee Stergiou) peacefully in her sleep. Ellen was the wife of Jim Kostopoulos (deceased) and the mother of Danny and George Kostopoulos.

Ellen was born in Kato Kline (Dolna Kleschina), Florina, Greece, to Stavros and Anastasia Stergiou on February 3rd of 1945. She was the 3rd of 5 daughters born to this couple, Agape, Nooli, Eleni, Gina and Vangelia. At 16, Ellen left her village to join her older sister Agape in Oshawa, Ontario. A few years later she met Jim, and they were married in November of 1965. Her first son Danny was born the following year in November of 1966, then her second son, George, in August of 1968.

Ellen leaves behind her two sons, three surviving sisters, nieces and nephews who will miss her.
